Askås Tag Manager is an integrated admin tool for managing tags and measurement pixels. Via ATM, it is possible to control which tags should be displayed, wich info the tags should contain but also where and on which pages they should be added.

These tags generate different types of cookies that are saved in connection with customer activities and events in the store. ATM can be described as a tool that opens a back door into certain parts of the source code in Askås system.

Askås Tag Manager is used to link cookies to the Askås Cookie Manager feature.

Glossary
Tag – A code string or code snippet which is added to the code via Askås Tag Manager. The tag enables other systems and services to retrieve information about a customer’s various activities on a website.

Cookie – A cookie is data that is stored on a user's client in the form of a text file. Via this text file, the user's activities on a site can be tracked.

Presentation layer – What the customer sees in the store. For example, product name, product text, images, prices and more info on a product page.

Data layer – Meta information that is in the source code but is not visible to a customer. The information/data is written in such a way that other systems and suppliers can use it. For example, information for Google Shopping.
